Some of us struggle to grow our relationship with God, this might be because we relate to Him in the wrong way. Many relate to Him out of fear of punishment. The bible often tells us to fear God, however this fear has to do with a reverential awe of God, not a fear of punishment. In this sermon, Marcio unpicks this and other reasons why we are not growing in our relationship with God. He then helps us to understand how we are to relate to God so we can grow in our relationship with Him.

In our final sermon on the ‘I am’ sayings of Jesus, Marcio looks at why abiding in Christ, the ‘True Vine’, is the way to a fruitful life.

Jesus asks that all who are thirsty should come to Him and drink, and He promises that whoever believes in Him, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them. In this Sermon Marcio invites us to respond to this call of Jesus so that we can be vessels of living water bringing the rule and love of God wherever we go.

The whole of scripture points to the gospel of Jesus. In this sermon, Marcio calls on those who have not yet put their faith in Jesus to do so, because this gospel has the power to save and transforms lives.

In this sermon, Marcio reminds us that love is the first and foremost mark of a church centred on Christ. However, to be a church that operates from a place of love we must first be a people who abide in Christ, putting Him at the centre of all we do.
