A Beautiful Life: Stop Striving. Start Abiding

A Beautiful Life: Stop Striving. Start Abiding

9th August 2026   |   Onohili Ejodame

What does it really mean to abide in Jesus?
In John 15, Jesus describes Himself as the true vine and His followers as the branches. Just as a branch cannot live or produce fruit apart from the vine, we cannot live fruitful Christian lives apart from remaining connected to Jesus.
This sermon explores the call to abide in Christ rather than strive for Him. The Christian life isn’t about constantly trying to achieve more, prove ourselves, or serve God in our own strength. It begins with intimacy – staying close to Jesus, depending on Him, and allowing His life to flow through us.
Practically, what does abiding look like? It means allowing His Word to take root in us, developing an ongoing awareness of His presence through prayer, trusting Him through obedience, and learning to truly rest in His love.

Remember the Past, Moving Forward

Remember the Past, Moving Forward

8th March 2026   |   Onohili Ejodame

In this sermon, we explore the powerful moment when the Israelites crossed the River Jordan into the Promised Land. After God miraculously stopped the waters, He didn’t immediately give battle strategies for Jericho — instead, He commanded them to build a memorial of twelve stones. Why? Because before facing future battles, they needed to remember God’s past faithfulness. This sermon unpacks the importance of “memorial stones” — reminders of God’s power, provision, and promises. Just as the Israelites needed reminders, we too need to remember what God has done in our lives. Forgetting weakens faith, but remembering fuels courage.
